I'm not ready Top

It's very rare indeed that all the stars will be aligned for you to take a new step. But even a small website is much better than no site at all and significantly, the search engines can index your content. Longevity improves your sites ranking.

Will my website be easy to maintain? Top

Absolutely!

I can use a template to create a much cheaper site  Top

This is true. But you will waste an inordinate amount of your precious time trying to understand how to do what you want to do. Even then, you are limited by the template's design. Our customers have said that nothing compares with the value they receive from our training courses. And they love the fact that their website can grow to acommodate their needs over time, including eCommerce.

What is the duration of the Website Workshop?  Top

Our Workshops are held from 9:30am - 4:30pm with a 40 minute lunch break and short breaks throughout the day. Each Workshop is 2 days duration.

What are the class sizes?  Top

We prefer very small classes to ensure individual attention, therefore class sizes are limited to 3 participants.

Do I need to have any experience using a Content Management System or HTML?  Top

We train participants from the absolute beginning and we can adjust our classes to meet the needs of the attendees. Absolutely no prior knowledge is required.

Do I have to be technically proficient?  Top

No, one of the great features of Joomla is its ease of use and we teach you everything you need to get your Joomla website up and running.

What should I bring to class?  Top

If you have your own laptop, we recommend that you bring it. We can provide a laptop for you and apart from that, just bring your content on disk – articles, graphics and anything you want to put onto your website.

What are the payment options?  Top

Payment can be made online via a Paypal account or by cheque (please contact us if you wish to pay by cheque). Payment is due upon signup.

What if I need to cancel/postpone my registration?  Top

Cancellations with up to 3 weeks notice will receive a full refund. Refunds for cancellations of less than 3 weeks notice will be given at 50% to cover booking costs and so on.

We reserve the right to cancel an event (with a full refund).

Is the training hands-on?  Top

Very much so. With the help of the instructor, you will design your own site.

If I want to use a different hosting service, it this possible?  Top

Certainly, we will supply you with an automatic install file. Just contact us for details.

Website optimisation is important to me, does your Content Management System allow for this? Top

Very definitely, yes.  The Content Management System we use as the structure on which your site is based is designed with optimisation in mind.  From SEF (Search engine friendly) urls to meta tags and even individual meta descriptions for each article, the system we use can easily accessed by the search engines and indexed properly.

I've heard that you shouldn't put your email address on your Contact Us page in case you get spammed.  So how can my visitors send me an email? Top

The Joomla content management system is designed so that your email address doesn't have to be published.  When we setup your Joomla website, we add a Contact Us page that has an email form that the visitor can use.  They fill in the details (subject and message) and click the 'Send' button.

The email comes directly to you without having to publish your email address.
